Pan Racca si vybral jako spojence svého švagra, doktora Zappiho (Paolo Villaggio). Ten má zařídit, aby se loď jménem Julia potopila a vše vypadalo jako nehoda. Takže je třeba najít kapitána, dopravit ho kamsi na africké pobřeží, posadit na loď, nezapomenout mu dát záchranný člun a hlavně s ním nenastoupit na palubu. A to je právě kámen úrazu. Zappi na loď nastoupí a ještě předtím nechá mnicha, který nosí smůlu, aby ji pokřtil.
