Při jedné výpravě na nepřátelské území je navíc Hajime zasažen kouzlem jednoho ze svých spojenců a sražen až na dno hluboké propasti. Opuštěn a zrazen si mladý chlapec sáhne až na dno, ovšem v momentě, kdy by se ostatní složili a zemřeli při prvním nepřátelském útoku, se Hajime rozhodne nevzdat se.
